Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst’s Top Secret Fat Loss Secrets has become quite the controversial story. I recently read the book and though I am not sure about all of the death threats, I do know that she has every reason to believe that the weight loss industry and medical community might not want you to read her book.

The weight loss and pharmaceutical companies who sell weight loss pills would rather you continued to need them and purchase their products. If everyone figured out that Dr. Gudakunst’s top secrets would end the need for expensive diet pills, well, those industries might have a bit of a problem with that. The truth is you can lose weight following her advice.

Dr. Suzanne developed her eBook based on years of medical experience. She is merely touting what we know to be true and have for many years. Death begins in the colon or so the saying goes.

Lack of exercise and an unhealthy diet has lead many of us to gain weight. It has also mucked up our colons and made proper elimination a real problem. Tips If You Get Shin Splint Pain

As you get elderly frequent exercise becomes much more important. Muscle wastage will occur as we get older because our metabolism slows down. In other words we consume fewer calories. This means that even if we don’t eat any more gradual weight increase is unavoidable and we start to pile on the extra pounds.

This extra weight your gaining is slow but relentless. If you’d abruptly piled on 20 pounds you’d notice it straight away but one or two pounds a year is easily missed. That weight you put on while on holiday never seems to go away like it used to and your dresses appear to be getting smaller!

You decide enough is enough and start an work out program. As part of your program you start running or jogging. At first you don’t have a problem but after a couple of months the front of your shins become painful. Chances are you have Shin Splints.

I’ve been around horses all my life and always knew if you worked them on very hard ground they were likely to develop splints. Now splints in a horse can leave them lame (limping) for a long time. I never realised the same could happen to us. In humans though it’s called Shin Splints.

I like to use jogging as my main way of keeping in reasonable shape. But I was discovering that, after only a short time, my shins would start to ache, down at the bottom of my leg. At first I thought I was just a bit stiff, and it would go off as I warmed up more.

I had hoped the pain would just go away but, you guessed it, it got much worse. The pain would get so bad that in the end I couldn’t finish my training and would end up limping home at a snails pace. After a couple of days the pain in my lower legs would go away but it would always come back again if I started running again.

Shin Splints has nothing to do with splints. It is simply the name used when the long, thin muscle on the front of your lower leg is overused and gets inflamed ” sort of Repetitive Strain Injury in the leg ” and, as I learned when I went to train as a Sports Therapist can be treated.

In order to lose weight you will need willpower and knowlege. Many people set weight loss goals, but have no idea how to achieve them. Diets do not work. A healthy approach is key.

You will need to set healthy goals. The best way to do this is see your doctor. he can help you set a healthy goal for your height and weight. he will also access your health and make sure there is not a health factor involved that may keep you from reaching your goals.

You would never want to lose weight rapidly without the supervision of an trained physician. The most sensible loss is 2 pounds a week. The slower you lose, the longer you will keep it off. Plus it is just better for your body.

Fad diets only restrict food. This is not the way to go and only works temporarily. Cutting food out of your diet is only a part of the challenge. There are many factors besides that, that should be considered.

A commitment to change and improve these factors is the most sensible approach to take. Do not just starve yourself. That just leads to failure. Not to mention it wreaks havoc on your body and emotions. You could end up a fuss bucket, with thinning hair and dry skin.

Fad diets. We have all tried them. But, if they worked would you be trying to lose weight again. Of course not! They don’t work. never have, never will! Opt for a healthy approach instead.
