A couple of months ago, I had the honor of sitting in on a lecture by his holyness, the Dalai Lama. I couldn’t help but wonder about the origin of his path. He had an amazing joyfulness.
You cannot help but be impressed with the life of Buddha, regardless of your particular religion (or lack, thereof). When seeing his people were sickness and dying, he couldn’t help to take notice and felt it was his duty to try to help.
According to various historical documents, he decided that the only way to do this was to achieve enlightenment and pass on his enlightenment to others. He also determined that in order to do this, he would first have to give up all his worldly possessions and live without.
Buddha defied his parents, left his palace and lived in a state of fasting and doing without. Maybe it wasn’t that difficult for him, but I know this wouldn’t be my first choice.
Most people don’t want to give up the good life. They think that money is a way to better our lives. That is why the lottery is so successful.
Health care at its best was probably nothing more than guesswork, around 500 BC.
Buddha wasn’t concerned about his own health but instead wanted to ease the suffering of those around him. He denied himself the comforts of living in the palace in order to do this.
Anyone who has rubbed the belly on a statue of Buddha knows that he did reach enlightenment, and through that enlightenment, he did finally pick up a fork or chopsticks and eat something.
Modern day nutritionists would probably look at his statue and see he was just a little bit overweight and would not recommend this as a healthy weight. We can’t really say for sure if the Buddha belly was a factual picture or just represents a spiritual abundance, but you cant deny the smile on his face.
Even when surrounded by the common man, there is no evidence to support his being a sickly sort. Of course, you might say this was the reward of enlightenment, but I think the power of positive thinking is the real source.
Buddha lived without anger, without hate, and didn’t seem the type to hold grudges. How many of us can say the same? It doesn’t have to be a big life tragedy to get one down. Sometimes its dwelling on the small stuff so much that we are consumed with negativity.
There are many studies that have shown us a positive outlook can greatly improve or maintain ones health. The same goes with negativity. Depression and the like can just as easily destroy ones health.
I also believe that you sometimes need a starting point in order to focus. I recommend my Weight Loss Breeze program or my High Blood Pressure program, if weight loss and/or high blood pressure are your ailments, If its stress that’s led to headaches you should try my Migraine and Headache program. They are all natural and guaranteed to show amazing results!

Depression is often reported as feeling sad, helpless, hopeless, and other related emotions and behaviors; this condition is often occurred in people on a diet. These are a few signs of depression:
1. Cannot sleep well and experience unpleasant dreams.
2. Cannot eat well.
3. Waking too early and have the difficulty getting back to sleep.
4. Difficulty of concentrating during the work.
5. Anxious worrying.
6. Angry or having bad mood without any particular reason.
7. Angry at every little thing that goes off track.
8. Exhaustion on waking from sleep.
9. Insomnia.
Depression on a dieter can be occurring in two forms: the first one is being depressed because other reasons while on a diet, which can hinders the weight loss process itself; the second is being depressed because the expected result from the diet does not happen quickly enough.
The two problems need to be solving fast if you are experience it, otherwise you will never achieve your goal. The external factor reasons can be eliminated by tracking the source of the problem, such as bad environment, job, economy, or family, and solve it. However, there is possibility that the problem lie within your diet itself:
1. A study show that antioxidant can prevents depression, you should check your current diet and see if it is already contain enough food with antioxidant in it such as red bean, blueberry, blackberry, apple, strawberry, black plum, spinach, broccoli, asparagus, and papaya.
2. Serotonin is the brain chemical used to regulate intestinal movements, control of appetite, mood, and anger. Research showed that eating a diet rich in whole grain carbohydrates and low protein will increase serotonin by secreting insulin, so if your diet restricts carbohydrates you must rethink about it. But remember not to increasing insulin for long period since it may cause insulin resistance.
3. Selenium is an important part of a diet since lack of it will lead to irritability and depression; even the government recommends daily intake of selenium by 75mcg for men and 60mcg for women. Include foods that have a good content of selenium such as Brazil nuts, tuna, cod, roasted turkey, boiled macaroni, and whole egg.
4. Exercising is known to have the effects of reducing stress, anxiety, and depression. Other good effects including boost self esteem and improve sleep quality, so check your diet program and make sure it includes a healthy portion of exercise such as jogging or walking.
If you have checked your diet and it has fulfilled all the above criteria, the problem may come from your own concept about a diet’s process. Some people will get depressed really quickly just with one glance of their overweight body at the mirror, they ended spend the rest of the day being upset and restless; so before you fall to the same situation lets straight your concept about dieting first:
1. Do not put your hope into any commercials. Many weight loss programs are offer fast result for almost no effort; that may work in some cases, but it not necessarily work in your case. So basically you need to set your mind for long term goal, not the process speed; losing little weight constantly is better than losing lots at once and regain it back on the next week.
2. When you start a diet, it is not only you who have to get used with the new routine, meal plans, and all the exercise; your body need several adjustments too before it can receive the new behavior, so no need to panic if you feel unease and doesn’t get significant loss during the first one or two week. Just calm yourself, rearrange the diet plan, and start it again.
3. Sometimes you will have a day when you cannot or will not follow the diet plan due to various circumstances such as party, eating out, getting sick, or just does not feel like doing it. If that happen, just let it go and start anew on the next day; discipline is needed but do not too strict with yourself, this is also the cause of depression.
Being depressed about your weight is totally normal, but in the end you need to control and eliminate it if you want to make progress. Check your diet composition, make sure it is already contain good exercise and food that you need to suppress depression, usually a diet which contains all food groups in its meal plans will sufficient; then set the right concept in your mind for the process ahead, this will makes a good start and hopefully in the end you will obtain a good finish too.
