Ihave been surrendering my desire for food to my Higher Power and have completely abstained from flour and sugar since 3/29/08. As a result, I am transforming spiritually, emotionally, and physically (lost 72 lbs; now on maintenance). This video is a reading from an Overeaters Anonymous book titled For Today. Extols the wonders of feeling hungry. learning to feel hungry and excepting the feeling of hunger causes slimming down. abstaining is always the was to break out of an addiction. obesity is an addiction to sugar and starch, so abstaining from eating is a way to breakout from the hunger-eating hunger-eating cycle. Not eating trumps the ” Slow Metabolism” phony excuse.

Trying a new concept. Much of what sushicatny does. Having what you want when you are hungry. Stopping when you are satisfied. I have to figure how my hunger signs. My weight today was 209.4 . I seem to be hovering here and so ready to breakfree. One thing I have figured out over the past 3 days is sugar makes me so tired. I am following the plan, however, and eatting what I “want” when hungry (not craving- that is different). I am starting to “want” veggies and fruits though so I believe it is starting to work its mojo. The past few days made me realize what sugars do to our bodies. Amazing! Great realization!
