The Most Terrible Things for Your Middle
Tuesday, September 13th, 2011Are you sick of being stout? Are you tired of battling your muffin top only to lose the fight every day? Believe it or not, there are a lot of habits (most of which you probably don’t think about anymore) that could be keeping you from losing weight. We all have awful habits that stop us from shedding off the weight we want to lose. Here are some habits that you might want to change if you wish to improve your waistline.
Consuming just low fat or fat free foods. Guess what: foods that are low fat or fat free aren’t in reality better for you. What they remove in fat, they put back in in the form of carbs. These are the carbs that trigger sugar rushes and the subsequent sugar crashes as well as that rebound hunger that has you eating at all times. Go for the taste buds and simply eat the full fat versions of your favorite foods. Your energy will get better while your cravings will decrease.
Trying to work out your nutrition on your own can usually makeyou stagnate in your weight. Nutrition, on the surface, appears to be a really easy thing to work out. The reality is that it is a great deal more involved than it looks. If you want to start trying to become healthier and lose weight, see to it that you make at least one appointment with a skilled dietician. A nutritionist can help you work out exactly how much of which foods you should consume and help you plan a diet that is reasonable and hearty.
Failing to get adequate sleep. Studies have proven that individuals who don’t get adequate sleep have an average of two and a half times more belly fat and a more difficult time slimming down than individuals who get the recommended six to seven hours every night. You’ve no doubt been told numerous times that you need at least eight hours of sleep each night to remain healthy but if you are trying to get thin, you’ll do much better if you get only between six and seven hours.
Consuming soda pop–even the diet stuff–is terrible for you if you wish to lose weight and banish your muffin top. Those who drink between one and two sodas every day have a more than thirty percent increase in the likelihood that they will develop weight issues. Diet soda drinkers were observed to have middles that grew as much as five times quicker than individuals who did not drink softdrinks. So get rid of that softdrink and drink some water!
There are numerous tiny, daily habits that keep us from achieving our weight goals. Things like not getting adequate sleep, planning your own diet (when you are new to the process), staying away from fats and drinking all kinds of soda pop can all make your waistline expand. See to it that you talk with your doctor to figure out if any of the things you are doing could be hindering your weight loss goals.
